The Rimmel coupon from All You states mgr but 'only at Walmart'...can you use it elsewhere? And how does CVS work w/ a B1G1 when you have a free coupon?

thanks!

Hittingtheslopes - I was able to use this coupon at Walgreens because it is a MFR coupon. Not sure I understand question 2? I have not had trouble at CVS for B1G1s...what do you mean free coupon?

I tried using a coupon out of the March All You for the $3 off the Thumbelina DVD at Target, not realizing it was a Wal Mart coupon. The Target store would not accept it. So I have not attempted to use the Rimmel coupon at any other stores. I am wondering if anyone else has had success or rejection using these Wal Mart only manufacturer coupons at stores other than Wal Mart.
Also, I think Hittingtheslopes might have been referring to using a coupon that gives you an item completely free (like the Rimmel mascara) when the store is offering a B1G1 on that particular item. So if you buy one and use the coupon that takes off the entire cost, do you still get the free one. Technically, you are making a purchase with a coupon, but it does it qualify you for the free extra? I noticed that Walgreens was offering a B1G1 for Rimmel Sexy Curves mascara the same week the April issue came out with the Rimmel coupon.

I see...
Yes I did the same thing at Walgreens. The sale was B1G1. I used a FREE coupon (on the mascara) and got both for FREE. Remember the manager turns this coupon in and get his money back so it is as if you paid. I can say, however, some managers/cashiers will make rules. It could never hurt to call the CVS office/corporate before you go to make sure you are doing nothing wrong.

Does CVS take Walgreen coupons? Does anyone know?
Thanks,

Frugal Coupon Living said...

no - both CVS and Walgreens will only take their own store coupons.

Yes, that is exactly what I was asking- thanks for clarifying my question! ;-)
I was asking if the store has a B1G1 free and I have a coupon for a free item, do I get 2 free? If I am understanding, it's yes?
Is that for all stores?

thanks!

Yes Hitting the slopes. This has always worked for me.

Hey Ashley - I don't know why, but I always have a problem with the homesolutions website - I've never been able to print coupons from them because it always says "We're sorry, there's been a problem" and says I have to have cookies enabled - but they are enabled already. I've tried it in Firefox and IE. Have you ever heard of anything like this... just thought I would check because I'd like to be able to print coupons for cleaning products. Thanks!

I went to CVS today to see about using the B1G1 Rimmel mascara using the coupon for a free Rimmel. I only asked a clerk, but she said no. She said someone else had tried to use it already this morning and the manager said no, they could not use it at CVS. So I did not pursue it any further. I don't want to spoil a good relationship with my CVS store.

The Soft Soap Ensembles Hand Soap at my local CVS is on sale this week for $7.99, not $3.99. They do have the $4 ECBs when you purchase two though.

Has anyone found the Quaker Life Cereal on sale at Walgreens in Maple and Brown Sugar? That is what my coupon is for, and my Walgreens only had regular flavor....

Thanks!

Karen said...

Kelly, my coupon showed a picture of the Maple and Brown Sugar Life cereal flavor, but my coupon said for any Life cereal. Walgreens took my coupon.

Frugal Coupon Living said...

Karen, the add says prices start at $3.99 so perhaps it depends on the store or whether it is the refill or soap dispenser.

Frugal Coupon Living said...

Jessica, I too often have trouble with this website...but it DOES work sometimes to just keep trying. I have a feeling it works when they first post the new coupons and then somehow stops - perhaps because the limit was reached? I am not sure. Sorry!

I didn't see any SS coupons in the 3/29 for Lysol, Shout/Windex (etc) or the toothpaste...this is my first time trying the Sunday paper, but I thought I looked thoroughly through the SS insert...am I just missing them?

Frugal Coupon Living said...

jessica, coupons are regional so our area likely did not get them :(

Jessica said...

oh ok - just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing them! Thanks Ashley!

My Tennessee SS had glade $4 off coupons this week and with the $4 deal I can get them for .99 and I have the B1G1 so I will actually get two for .99!

I used my Rimmel coupon at Walgreen's with no problem when they had their BOGO sale, but they wouldn't take it at my CVS(bought 2 All You April issue), so I went to Walmart and used it.
