Just wanted to alert you about a problem that I had today at CVS. I was doing the Softsoap deal $4.99-4.99 ECBs) and in my rush I didn't catch the fact that the computer didn't print my ECBs. I got in the car and looked over my receipts and went back in the store with the item and my receipt. The tally at the bottom of my receipt said I needed to buy 2 of them at 5.29 each and get only 4.00 ECBs but the ad clearly stated that the item was 4.99 w/4.99 ECBs. She and I walked over to the aisle and the only tag on the shelf was the tag that they were getting ready to post for next week. She could plainly see that I had the right item, right size, etc but insisted on getting the manager. While she was gone I peeked at the tag for next week. The computer had charged me for next week's deal. Apparently the computer had already converted the sale for that item. I told the manager and the clerk this. I don't even think they understood what I was trying to tell them. She continued to argue about it even as the manager began to correct it. However, the manager did print a 5.00 ECB ticket for me. I still lost the tax and .30 on the original sale. My point is, if you did this deal today you'd better look at your receipts!!
Lisa, this turnover happens often at both CVS and Walgreens on Saturday night. While it can be a blessing at times (when a coupon will be expired the next day) we can see it can hurt at other times. I am glad it worked out for you!
