My Publix List 4/2 - 4/11

1. Publix Takes Competitors Coupons.
2. On B1G1, use two coupons (you are getting two items.)
3. You do not have to buy 2 of the B1G1 items to get the sale price (In FL you do have to buy both items. Check with your local store, though) Please note, my calculations are for stores that DO NOT double coupons buying two items.
4. Always combine store and mfr coupons when you can (even a store coupon from a competitor store.
5. Many Publix locations double manufacturer coupons that are $.50 or less (Tallahassee and most FL locations do not!)
6. Some Publix sales start Wednesday to Tuesday, others are Thursday to Wednesday. Call your local Publix for their sale dates.
.
*Sadly, I do not see any competitor $/$$ coupons you can use. If you know of any, please comment below.
.
*Don't forget to slide your UPromise Card for long term savings.
.
*REMEMBER coupons many coupons are regional. If you look for a coupon that is not found in your Red Plum or Smart Source flier it is likely because your area did not get it. You can always order from The Coupon Clippers!

I just got a coupon for 75 cents for Breyers ice cream, not sure which flyer I cut it out of. combine this with b1g1 @ publix :)

Beth said...

the breyer's coupon was in the unilever flyer.

Becca, Yes, you can. You would get two boxes, when the cashier scans it, one box would ring up for FREE and you would give them your b1g1 coupon and get the first box that scanned FREE. two boxes would go home with you for Free!

This was my first week using coupons at Publix and I was quite impressed! I was able to get $100 worth of groceries for $37! Yay!! I know it's not as good as alot of couponers, but for my first time, I think I did pretty good! Thanks SO MUCH for all your help and for your site! It truly has helped my family save money! :)

I'm confused! I'm trying to get my Publix list together, but can't find some of the coupons you reference. For example, I don't see the McCormick vanilla in the 3/29 Red Plum or the Breakstone sour cream or Bird's Eye veggies in the 3/29 Smart Source. Is it possible that different papers get different supplements? Thanks so much for all your work!

SS said...

Where do you get the Smart Source? Is in only in the Sunday paper? Thanks!

Frugal Coupon Living said...

SS - the Sunday paper.

Lori, coupons are regional. Smaller regions to not get all the superb coupons. My area is missing a lot of coupons.

Hey Everyone - Don't forget Publix also has the "Buy theirs, get ours free" If you buy national brand you get the Publix brand free. This week is buy Tostitos tortilla chips, get Publix tortilla chips free...Newmans Salsa, get Publix salsa free...buy Quaker mini rice cakes get publix mini rice cakes free. You must buy the exact type/brand advertised to get the publix one for free.
Also monday's 1 cent item was a loaf of Publix white bread! I am going to freeze mine because we already have a loaf of bread, but I couldn't resist..it was a penny!!!

My local Publix has these same B1G1 through Saturday the 11th due to the Holiday weekend.

How can I read about Publix "Buy theirs, get ours free" offers? I have never heard of this. Never heard of their weekly penny deals either. Is this in Florida?

Frugal Coupon Living said...

Susan go to this link. I also missed it this week.

I still dont see where to find out the penny deal at Publix. But thank you, I did find the "Buy Theirs, Get Ours Free". I suppose I could just call the store or ask customer service when we get there. Thanks again!!

Hey Susan - The penny deal is always a mystery item, so no one really knows what it will be until Sunday. They only offer the item on Sunday and Monday and the only rule is that you have to buy at least $10 worth of groceries to get the penny item.
Usually it's always a publix brand item that is 1 penny (in the past it has been a 4 pack of publix toilet paper, publix sugar, publix peanut butter) Last week it was any bottle of Wishbone salad dressing and this week it was a loaf of white (publix) bread...that's the fun of this though - you never know what you might get!! :) All the items above were from a Birmingham, AL publix and I am not sure if they offer different penny items at other store locations.

Frugal Coupon Living said...

Thank you Kaysha for that tutorial. Susan, Florida does not do penny items so check with your local store.

Susan said...

Ok, Thank you Kaysha and Mom!!! :)
