Oh What a Day...

I am working hard on getting emails answered, the Walgreens post up, and more deals for you guys. Thanks for your patience.

Today was a blur getting everything done with the refrigerator. We have to rent one for a month (out of our pocket) and then we had to pay a GOOD CHUNK of the new refrigerator...nothing of what I am excited about. I had to pay to get it here as soon as it could, fighting it at this point would only delay its delivery. I WILL put my typing skills to the test and write a letter to the President (and probably a handful of other departments) telling them of my concerns/frustration - basically my house was almost burnt down because of the recall and I am paying for a part of a new refrigerator. As I said today was such a blur that I TOTALLY forgot the refrigerator rental was coming to the house and showed up 45 minutes AFTER the initial time frame of the delivery...I pulled up to my street only to see them pulling away from my house (they had been waiting awhile and I honked and honked my horn. Thank God they kindly came back.) Poor guys...after making them wait for a long time, I then BEGGED them to remove my old refrigerator (they had to do it by removing two doors off the hinges to get it into the garage.) This clearly was not their job (they are a rental agency.) They saw my desperation. I gave them a good tip, though!

Recalls are meant to save your house from burning down, they are not the cause of it. The original problem is what would have caused a fire, not the subsequent recall.

And, while you are paying for "part" of a new refrigerator, your family, and the family before you probably used it for quite a number of years before the failure. You are actually lucky to only be paying for part of a refrigerator; I would be paying for the whole new one.

I don't even know you, but feel like your my friend and I totally support you! I'm sorry you had to pay more than expected. No the recall did not cause the problem, but the ultimately the company is responsible for their product and therefore should be a lot more accommodating to help! Hang in there; I pray and believe that it will return to you somehow. Thanks for everything you do!!!

Bless your heart! What a day! Well, this might cheer you up-- I've just recently gotten very involved in coupon cutting and what not and today I went to Publix and saved a whopping $49 and then went to Walmart and saved $20. It feels so good to see how much I saved! Thank you so much for all you do.

If a part that was recalled caused the refrigerator to burn, then the company should be responsible for replacing it, not you. So, sorry they aren't doing what they should. Hope your letter writing does some good.
