Target Coupon Policy

Ginger at Attention Target Shoppers received an email from Target today about their coupon policy. Below is her letter. You can visit this post at Ginger's blog Here.
Dear Ginger XXXXX,
Thanks for asking us about using coupons at Target. Coupons are a great way to save even more when shopping with us, and it's easy to use them at our stores. Because of the variety of coupons available to our guests, we do have some guidelines for how coupons can be redeemed at Target.
When accepting coupons, we use the following guidelines:
- We accept two kinds of coupons: Target-issued and manufacturer-issued.
- We'll accept one Target coupon and one manufacturer coupon for the same item, unless either coupon prohibits it.
- We can't give cash back if the face value of a coupon is greater than the purchase value of the item; in this case, we're able to adjust the value of the coupon to equal the price of the item.
- We can't accept coupons from other retailers, or coupons for products not carried in our stores.
- All valid coupons should be presented to the cashier while you're checking out.
For questions about using a specific coupon, we encourage you to stop by Guest Service and ask to speak with the Guest Service Team Leader. They'll do their best to help while you're in the store. At the Target where I shop you are only allowed one manufacturer's coupon per item if they are printed from the internet. For instance, if you have two coupons for popcorn that you printed at home you cannot buy two popcorns in one transaction and use the two coupons. It seems they had a problem with people making copies of the coupons so this is their way of limiting their losses. I don't blame them but it hurts those of us who are doing it right. I either have to do two transactions, and not all checkers are willing to do that, or make two trips. blessings, marlene

I'm having a time with a floor manager type person at my Target. She has it out for me. I finally called an assistant (or something similar) store manager & I am also trying to more than the standard coupon response e-mail from corporate. That woman tests me & the cashiers as well. This lady was about to void my entire transaction and make me ring everything up separately b/c the Target coupons states "one per transaction". I won't go into details, but another lady told her to just let the cashier take my money.
