There are many reasons you might not be happy with a product - taste, quality, price, quantity, packaging, etc. Give them a try, decide if you are or are not satisfied. My goal is not to lead you to every satisfaction guaranteed offer so that you take advantage of it no matter what, but rather to make you aware and knowledgeable of the offers put out by the manufacturers.

Thanks for the list! You have to buy a heck load of pizzas for that rebate.

What are your thoughts on the ethics of "satisfaction guaranteed" rebates? I mean, obviously if you try a new product and are honestly dissatisfied that's one thing. But say you take this list, and go shopping. Now it seems like you're buying products WITH THE INTENTION of being dissatisfied with them, and thus taking the refund. That seems kind of fishy to me. Thoughts??

I feel that way as well.
I personally do not go buy the products just to send for the "satisfaction guarantee" rebate. I realize others may not feel that way though.

Thanks for the heads-up about the Purex 3-in-1. I got some at CVS last weekend and will try them sooner rather than later. I hesitated to get them even after sale price + coupon + ECB. Their "regular retail price" is about double what it should be.

Using a "satisfaction guaranteed refund" as a rebate is dishonest & unethical. It's disheartening that some find this practice acceptable & go even a step further by encouraging others to do so.

I don't think the satisfaction guarantee refund issue is so black and white. I will often buy a product that has this guarantee because it's almost like insurance in case I don't like it. The company is benefiting because otherwise I wouldn't have ever tried their product in the first place and I may become a regular customer.

That said, I won't hesitate to submit for a refund if I'm not totally satisfied. And sometimes my dissatisfaction is a result of me thinking the product isn't great enough to justify the extremely high price as compared to the generic version.

Hey guys, please lighten up on our friend who spends so much time researching things to help people she doesn't even know! She is not encouraging people to be dishonest or break laws. I agree that guarantees are like new product insurance and having a guarantee in the back of my mind certainly influences my decisions to buy them or not. Also, the manufacturers use guarantees as promotion and incentive to increase sales, and they are certainly interested in any factors that would prevent someone from buying their product. If the product is not totally terrible but the price is, that is certainly a reason for dissatisfaction and the manufacturers want to know. It's not just the product they are selling, its the overall package which includes the price-to-perfomance ratio. If it's not better than a generic or my current product, I feel no shame in applying for the rebate. Many companies will insist that you send the product back in order to get the rebate if dissatisfied to prevent the problems you're associating with members of this site. Ashley does a great service and I fully support her in finding and posting guarantee offers on her site. And as a side note, I do not question her ethics in the slightest. Be aware that the general comments about ethics here are wrongfully associated with her.
