Chicken Enchiladas


Jessica has shared her Chicken Enchiladas recipe with a great breakdown of price.

Ingredients
1 Can Cream of Chicken Soup $.79
1 8oz Container Sour Cream $1.09
1 cup Picante Sauce $1.59 for a jar if not on hand
2 tsp. chili powder
2 cups cooked chicken chopped $1.98 for canned chunk chicken Taste Great
1 cup shredded Mont Jack Cheese $2.40 bag
10 flour tortillas $1.00
1 medium tomato , chopped$.98lb for romas, but 2 is like $.40
1 green onion, sliced $.58 bunch

Total Spent: $9.83 which feeds my family of 6

Directions:
1. Stir the soup, sour cream, picante sauce and chili powder in a medium bowl.
2. Stir 1 cup picante sauce mixture, chicken and cheese in a large bowl.
3. Spread about 1/4 cup chicken mixture down the center of each tortilla. Roll up and place in shallow baking dish. Pour the rest if the mixture over the filled tortillas. Cover with aluminum foil.
4. Bake at 350*f for 45 minutes. 5. Top immediately with tomatoes and onions.
