Oooooh, I was so looking forward to my free sugar fix today at Starbucks, but when I went to the Kerry Forest (Tallahassee) store, they said they'd run out of all the free ones. I thought it a little odd, since it was before 10:30am, and they still had everything in the display case that was listed on the coupon promotion, but paid for my drink (which I was really just buying for the free pastry!) and left. When I got home, I ended up calling the Starbucks main customer service line and asked. The lady said yes, if they were in the case, I should have gotten one free with that coupon! She was going to let the district manager know, so that's good. I was just so disappointed because with some companies, you expect some funny stuff if you use a free coupon, but not with Starbucks!
I wonder if anyone else had that happen to them today? If so, you might just want to let them know (here's the main customer service number if anyone needs it (800) 235-2883).
I'm still thinking about that berry coffee cake I had my eye on though...although the shaken iced tea was very good. : )
