Target Price Matching?

I am sure you have heard of Wal-Mart's price matching policy...rumor is Target is also headed in the same direction (you can even see this annoucement in their weekly flyer on page 2 from this past Sunday Here.) While I do not have a "for sure" it appears strongly this might really be true.
Does this excite you? Do you take advantage of Wal-Mart's price match guarantee?
Thanks, Leslie.

I know for sure that this is true in my area (WI), b/c it was even on the evening news.
About Wal-Mart. WM will price match competitor ads, as long as it is not a gimmick type ad like BOGO deals. My WM even accepts other store Q's now too. I spoke with the store manager at my location about how the policy says that they accept store Q's, but WM does not hav any store Q's. I also very politely told him that I was able to take their ad into Target, get the price matched, use the Target Q, and a MC there instead of at his store. Like I said they accept all campetitor store Q's now. This is something that anybody could try at their location too (YRMV). Keep in mind that they do consider how close the store is to them too. The Target in my case is right down the street from WM. He even gave me his personal Cell phone # in case I ever hav any probs. He offered me excellent customer service!!! something you just don't see that much of anymore.

My husband is a store manager in the AL area and this is true ... nationwide, as of July 13th Target offers price matching of all competitors.

Like previous posters have stated, Target began their price matching program during this week's ad cycle. Its important to remember that it only applies to EXACT items (brand, size, color, etc.) and the full ad must be brought in by the guest, not just a page with what you want matched. The ad must be the current weekly ad.
