Thanks to Kristina for sharing this next recipe. It's named after her late Aunt Dona and was one of her favorite dishes. It's an easy one dish meal that is also healthy!
The Dona Dish
Ingredients:
1 package Hillshire Farm Turkey Sausage (precooked), sliced
3 stalks celery, chopped
1 green pepper, chopped
5 cups chicken broth
2 cups rice
Directions:
Combine turkey sausage, celery, and green pepper in large saute pan on medium heat. Cook for about 5 minutes or until sausage is slightly browned and vegetables are sweating. Add chicken broth and rice. Cover and simmer on low for 20 minutes. Season to taste with salt and pepper, if needed.
Serves 4
