Grandma’s Bran Muffins


1/2 cup Brown Sugar
Oleo – the size of egg
1 cup milk with 1 tsp. vinegar
2 cups Original All Bran Cereal
1 cup flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 cup chopped nuts, 1/2 cup chopped dates, 1/2 cup raisins

Cream sugar and oleo, add Bran, milk and stir. Add flour, soda and fruit, blend don’t beat. Bake greased muffin pan’s. 400o 12 to 15 minutes. Don’t over bake.

Those sound so yummy! I just love old recipes. Also, I like that the muffins use dates and raisins to sweeten.

Don't be concerned Hungry Housewife, OLEO is just an old-fashioned word for margarine.
