2 Days Left - Walgreens Weekly Sale

Friday and Saturday are the last day for the Walgreens weekly sale flier. There is a new one every week beginning on Sundays.

Two MONEYMAKERS I do not want you to miss out on are the following:

8 Dove Soap Bars Regular $1.50?
Use 1 (it rings up 8 times) of the $.99 coupons in the Walgreens flier
= $7.92
Get Back $10 RRs! Make a little over $2!

8 Dove Trial Size Deotorants $.99
Use 4 $1.50/2 RP 1/18
= $1.92, no coupon $7.92
Get back $10 RRs! Make $2.08 - $8.08
I have tried this and IT DOES work. I did it with both purchases!

Can I ask a question? Complete newbie here. I read your post on Walgreens and how the reward systems work. You say that most RR are limited to one per purchase....what exactly does that mean? You can only use one with each shopping trip? one for each product? I understand how you redeem the rebates, but how do you use your RR??? Thanks!

one more thing. my dove coupon says limit 3 but they'll honor it for all 8?

I find that there are a lot of freebies and money makers on products my family does not use. For instance, the Colgate toothpaste that was in this weeks Walgreens ad showed $3.29 with $3.29 Rewards, but actually the RR was for $3.50. Being that we have toothpaste coming out the waazzzuu, I picked up a couple tubes in a couple trips...I mean they were money makers, but put them in the bag that goes to the food pantries and other charities. Everyone is struggling out there and anytime I can pick up a freebie or money maker for something we won't use, it goes in a separate bag for delivery to folks that really need it. I challenge other frugel folks to do the same.

Erin, you can only receive one type of RR per purchase. So don't do 8 soap and 8 deotorants in one purchase. You could do 2 seperate transactions and get 8 soap and then in another transtion 8 soap again. You can receive multiple RRs though if you have different types of RR offers. When paying, you can use multiple RRs...does this all make sense?

Yes, they will honor the dove for all 8 (depending on your cashier.) But the coupons scans and does scan for ALL 8.

I do not see any reference to $10 RR's for the Dove soap bars on the coupon or in the flyer. How can I tell if my Walgreens is offering the RR's for this ?

How did you know you would get $10 RR on the Dove soap? It doesn't say it in the flier, but b/c you said it worked for you, I tried it and it worked. Otherwise, I wouldn't have ever bought the soap; $.99 for 1 bar isn't a great deal normally.

So do all items in the weekly flier get RR?

Wow, this is all so interesting, but I wish I understood a little better how it actually works.

I'm going to check on the Walgreens thing today, hopefully I'm not too late.

Could someone explain how you can use multiple coupons for a purchase when all my mfr coupons says only one coupon per purchase. One coupon for a name brand item usually doesn't bring it's price lower than a generic or store brand. How does this really work? I know it does because I hear people that are actually doing this, but how??

Kristen,
I am not sure why..it does. Give it a try.

Ashlee,
I found out because word got on the street. The RR was likely a catalina deal and not a Walgreens deal. Catalina is the machine that makes the RRs.
