Publix - Send a Thanks Follow-up

Today, not only did I get an email, but I got a phone call from my personal Publix manager. He just wanted to thank me for my kind remarks and I was more than happy to thank him a second time for his wonderful coupon policy.
.
It is not too late to send Publix a thanks. See the post Here.

I got a call too! He said, "So I hear you want double coupons??" LOL I did ask their policy on IP coupons because one store told me only up to one dollar yet a store today took one for $5. He said the company policy is up to $5 so that is good to know. I think that it's wonderful that they actually took the time to call people, god, I love them!

I also received a call today from Publix. Not only did I mention how great it is that they take competitors coupons, but I also mentioned my manager and cashiers (by name) who go above and beyond. WOW...it sure goes a long way

Hey, I tried to use a competitors coupon at Publix, but was told that Food Lion wasn't a competitor, just Bi-Lo. Has anyone else has a problem using competitors coupons at Publix? I thought that Kroger, Food Lion, Winn Dixie would be considered "competitors" .Any suggetions?

Allison,
What grocery stores are in your area. Some managers will ony take competitors of stores that in their area.

The Food Lion is about 5 miles from there, if that and the Kroger is about 5 miles from the Publix also.. So, maybe that's not close enough for them to be considered "competitors"... I would think they would though.

The Southwood (Tallahassee) Publix won't take Food Lion coupons because they are no longer in town, so technically they aren't competitors. Are you sure your FL is still in business? 5 miles doesn't seem too far to me.

Yes, we actually have two in the area. Very strange.. I'm not sure why they don't take Kroger coupons either.

I too received a call from the manager at my Publix. He asked me to stop by the service desk next time I come in to meet him. I am so thankful for Publix and all they do for us coupon queens!
